As a service club, the Kinsmen exist to improve the lives of Canadians and their communities throughout the country. Our own chapter has had a long history of helping people in Red Deer and has gotten attention thanks to events like the Dream Home Lottery, but one aspect of our organization that some people might not be aware of is the Kinsmen Community Grant. Thanks to this fund, we have the opportunity to contribute and follow our motto of "serving the community's greatest need."

With the amount of groups in Red Deer and the surrounding area, getting funding year after year from the government isn’t always possible. That’s why we’re doing our part to give those hardworking leaders the resources they need to continue helping each and every person out there.
Besides larger public projects like the Edgar Soccer Fields, Library Link, and various playgrounds and parks throughout the city like the one at Eastview Middle School, money from the Community Grant has also be used to assist the Hospice Society, the Penhold Multiplex, and the Treehouse Youth Theatre. In fact, thanks to contribution, these young actors were able to put on a fantastic show this past summer!

Because our club does not keep any money raised from the events we hold, all of it must be budgeted and accounted for. We also rely on the contact form on our website to collect all of the proposed offers. Nothing would make us happier than working with you on your next project. As a group, the Kinsmen will come together and vote on what projects would most benefit by the grant. Regardless of how much money you need, we'll do everything in our our power to ensure that you get the proper funding.

To apply for the Kinsmen Community Grant, all you have to do is visit this link and fill out the appropriate sections. If you've got any additional paperwork, such as plans for your project, quotations for the goods you're seeking to acquire, or anything similar, please attach them to your application. This will allow us to keep everything in one place as review your request.
