Red Deer Kinsmen Summer Volunteering

Summer’s here, spirits are flying sky high and the sun’s up till ten. The kids are out of school and you’re thinking of new ways to deal with their extra energy. Kinsmen members don’t meet over the summer either, but there are plenty of opportunities with us to keep your eyes peeled for when September hits. In the meantime, there are still many volunteer opportunities out there that will definitely help your restless family burn some energy.

Check out a few of the awesome options below:

Pancake Specialists!

Do you like cooking? Or just love pancakes? The CMHA would love to have your help in cooking and serving pancake breakfasts. Come show us your breakfast chops!

Your warm smile and friendly disposition is needed! Bethany Collegeside is looking for volunteers willing to sit down with seniors as they take their meals and provide assistance when they need it. All training is provided. Very valuable experience if you’re a student headed into Nursing or HCA! Apply today!

Volunteer 150 for 150

The Canada 150 for 150 Volunteer Challenge is a nationwide initiative led by Volunteer Ottawa in partnership with Volunteer Centers across the country. We’re asking Canadians to join us in giving at least 150 hours of volunteer time this year in celebration of our beautiful country’s 150th anniversary.

Keeping Up with the Kinsmen

You may have to wait until September to join in on our meetings, but that doesn’t mean we’ve gone totally silent - Red Deer Kinsmen members get involved because community is important to us. We’re also pretty up to date with all the happenings in Red Deer and the Central Alberta region.
