Drum roll please …. The 2017 Dream Home is close to completion and we finally have a photo of the exterior to show you, courtesy of Larkuan Homes Ltd.

Our focus has always been “Serving the Community’s Greatest Need,” and for 35 years the Kinsmen have been doing exactly that with the Dream Home Lottery.

We have been beyond fortunate to have played a role in changing the lives of thousands of people because of your choice, every year, to purchase a lottery ticket.

It’s true that there is a grand prize at the end of every Dream Home Lottery - a beautiful house. However, the truth is, the money raised from every single ticket purchase benefits our community in more ways than one.

How Does a Lottery Benefit our Community?

The money from lottery ticket sales stays within our community.

Whether it’s one of the money playgrounds, arenas, Discovery Kanyon, Library Link or Family Link Centre in Parkland Mall, we have been able to construct numerous community structures from our fundraising efforts.

How Did the Dream Home Lottery Start?

The years of 1981 and 1982 marked the first two Dream Home draws, which netted over $250,000 for the City of Red Deer. These funds went toward a variety of different community projects, and continue to do so today.

Who is Involved?

There are a number of different charities that the Red Deer Kinsmen has been proud to partner with over the years thanks to the Dream Home Lottery.

Being able to provide funding for community groups aids them in changing other people’s lives that would have been otherwise impossible. With the ongoing support of heroes like you, we are able to continue the tradition of giving with the Dream Home Lottery.
